How we handle your data
This page describes exactly what happens to the email address you leave on the pre-launch list. It is not generic legal boilerplate copied from elsewhere: it describes what this site actually does, today.
What we collect
If you submit the form, we store three things:
- your email address, exactly as you typed it;
- the language you were reading the page in, so we write to you in the right one;
- a randomly generated unsubscribe code, used only so we can take you off the list without you having to prove who you are.
The country code you visited from, which Cloudflare attaches to every request, goes in the internal notice we get when someone signs up — it tells us whether this market test is reaching Portugal. It is not kept on the list.
From your IP address we keep one thing, for one hour: a count of how many times that address submitted the form, to stop anyone submitting it hundreds of times. It deletes itself after that hour and is never linked to your email or to anything else. Beyond that, we do not store your IP, we do not store your browser, and there are no cookies and no analytics on this page. The typeface is served from this same domain — loading the site makes no requests to third-party servers.
How we confirm it is you
After you sign up we send you an email with a link. Your address only stays on the list once you click it. If this wasn't you, do nothing: without the confirmation the address does not stay. The link is good for seven days.
What it is for
To write to you once, on the day the product opens. There is no newsletter, no email sequence, and the list is not used for anything else.
Who it is shared with
With two processors, and nobody else. Cloudflare hosts this site and is where the list is stored. Brevo is who sends the email — both the internal notice that someone signed up and, on launch day, the email we promised you. Your address passes through them for that. We do not sell, rent or pass this list on to anyone else.
How long we keep it
Until launch, or one year from the date you signed up — whichever comes first. If the project is discontinued, the list is deleted.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, at any time and without giving a reason. Requests are handled within 30 days. Since there is no account area yet, requests go by email to [email protected].
And there is a faster route. Every email we send you carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it deletes your row on the spot: it is not flagged inactive, not archived, deleted. If the policy says we delete, we delete.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados.
A note about the product
Verifynance does not connect to your bank account, does not ask for your credentials and does not use Open Banking. When the product opens, any financial data you load will always be files you chose to export from your own bank. This page will be updated then, with detail on what starts being stored.
